Summer nights in Amarillo are genuinely something special. If you haven’t made it out to the Buddy Holly Center’s Summer Showcase yet, you’re running out of time. The final performance is August 13, and we’d hate for you to miss it.

We love this event. Every Thursday evening in the Meadows Courtyard, from 5:30 to 7:30, you get live music, good company, and that big West Texas sky overhead. You can bring a lawn chair, grab a drink from the cash bar, and just breathe for a couple of hours. In the middle of a busy summer, that kind of evening is worth a lot.

Even after the sun goes down, the August heat doesn’t disappear right away. Before you pack up and head over, make sure you’ve got cold drinks ready. A reusable bottle filled with crisp AquaOne water is exactly what you need to stay comfortable through the whole show without having to fight the crowd at the bar.
